Description

Handmade in stoneware, this sculptural botijo reimagines one of the most iconic objects of Mediterranean domestic culture through a contemporary lens. Its asymmetrical silhouette, oversized circular handle and contrasting raw clay and milky white glaze transform the traditional water vessel into a playful sculptural object that balances utility, memory and character. Part of the Las Pájaras collection, the piece moves somewhere between functional pottery, creature and contemporary sculpture.Each piece is handmade in Spain by Casa Retortillo and preserves subtle variations from the making process.
